Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Technical Lead (Networks) operates at an operational technology and delivery level, taking responsibility for day-to-day technical decisions across operations, projects, and programmes. This role ensures all technical activities align with approved architectural standards while providing expert guidance to support successful delivery and operational excellence. The Senior Technical Lead collaborates closely with delivery teams, architects, and vendors to ensure solutions are fit for purpose, scalable for future growth, and adhere to best practices and organisational standards. With a strong focus on continuous improvement, the role drives technical innovation and efficiency while meeting or exceeding quality and performance expectations.

You are a seasoned network professional with deep expertise in supporting and improving critical network operations. You will have vast experience in technical leadership, with the ability to mentor and develop others. You will also have a background of identifying improvements and implementing technical standards and processes. You’ll bring a problem-solving mindset, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to equity and innovation in healthcare. You will also have the following skills and experience to support your success in the role:

  • CCIE or equivalent experience
  • Strong Firewall skillet (e.g Checkpoint, Fortinet and Palo Alto).
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven experience in technical leadership across complex IT environments, providing expert guidance and oversight
  • 10+ years in technical support roles focused on service stability, availability, and compliance with standards
  • Experience leading optimisation initiatives, driving continuous improvement and alignment with best practices
  • Skilled in technical planning, mentoring engineers, and contributing to the development of technical standards and processe
