Description
Full-time · Austria, Germany, Europe (Hybrid / Remote possible · DACH focus) About our client Our client is a fast-growing European AI company on a mission to redefine how enterprises deliver customer support. They are building a next-generation conversational agent platform that allows large organizations to deploy AI agents capable of truly understanding local language, culture, and context — across voice, chat, and email. Unlike generic chatbot solutions, their technology integrates seamlessly with complex enterprise systems and operates at the level of real customer service teams — combining speed, empathy, and precision. Already trusted by leading enterprises in telecom, financial services, and healthcare, and backed by top-tier investors, the company is scaling rapidly across Europe. You’ll join a high-velocity, product-driven environment where every team member directly impacts how the world’s largest organizations engage with their customers. The role We’re looking for an experienced Technical Leader / Regional CTO who can bridge architecture, engineering execution, and customer success. This is a key role for an entrepreneurial, hands-on technologist ready to take ownership of both product delivery and regional technical growth. You’ll serve as the technical face of the company in the DACH region — guiding architecture discussions, leading integrations, and building a small but high-performing engineering group that can deliver complex AI solutions end-to-end. If you’ve ever wanted to combine the impact of a CTO, the craft of an architect, and the drive of a startup builder, this is that role. Key responsibilities Lead the technical side of enterprise integrations and AI deployments — from architecture design to production rollout. Join early-stage sales and pre-sales discussions to assess feasibility, guide technical direction, and deliver solution demos. Build and mentor a local engineering and integration team, setting clear standards for quality and delivery. Drive customer implementations: define technical scope, ensure smooth deployment, and maintain production accuracy. Collaborate closely with Product and AI teams to localize and optimize the platform for regional markets. Represent the company as a technical expert in client meetings, industry events, and strategic partnerships. Continuously improve infrastructure, automation, and performance of large-scale AI systems. Who you are German native speaker (or equivalent proficiency), with excellent command of English. 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience (backend, integrations, cloud infrastructure). Proven track record in roles such as Engineering Lead, Solution Architect, Field CTO, or Head of Engineering. Solid background in SaaS and enterprise integrations (APIs, authentication, data flows, monitoring). Experience leading customer-facing technical discussions and managing delivery for enterprise clients. Fluency in cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP) and modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, IaC, observability). Strong communicator able to bridge technical and business perspectives. Entrepreneurial mindset: autonomous, structured, and execution-focused. Bonus: experience with AI, NLP, or LLM-based systems, and working in a fast-paced startup. Why join Be part of a fast-growing AI scale-up shaping the future of enterprise automation. Build something real: you’ll design, deploy, and lead — not just advise. Work with an ambitious, collaborative, international team of AI experts, engineers, and entrepreneurs. Competitive package with performance-based upside (salary + stock options). Hybrid / remote flexibility across Europe.
