Description
Responsibilities Provide technical leadership and governance across rolling stock, infrastructure, and systems for MTR International Business, ensuring compliance with safety legislation, standards, and corporate requirements Develop, implement, and enhance technical standards, assurance frameworks, and best practices to drive safety, efficiency, and cost optimization Act as the primary technical authority, advising on projects, operations, business development, and coordinating technical support with Headquarters and regional hubs Oversee technical risk management, engineering change, and safety assurance across the full asset lifecycle, including design, testing, commissioning, and handover Support major projects and bids, and build effective relationships with regulators, operators, maintainers, and external consultants Lead and develop multidisciplinary engineering teams to foster a high‑performance, safety‑driven culture Requirements Degree in Engineering or a related discipline; A minimum of 12 years’ relevant experience in railway systems, metro operations, or infrastructure projects, of which 5 years should be at managerial level Possession of Corporate Membership of a recognised professional institution Proven experience managing complex technical systems and multi-disciplinary teams, with strong problem solving and decision making capabilities Ability to operate effectively in a matrix organisation and influence without direct authority Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with sound commercial and operational judgement Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); willingness to undertake frequent business travel Remarks Appointment will be made on a two-year renewable contract basis Applications You are invited to apply online via http://www.mtr.com.hk/mtr_job_en or send in your CV stating the position (with reference number) you are applying for by mail to Human Resource Management Department, MTR Corporation, G.P.O.
