Description
The role As part of our Defence Delivery Organisation, the Senior Technical Officer - Management of Tools and Calibration will be responsible for the serviceability, readiness and accuracy of tools and test equipment required for military combat system installation, maintenance and testing. Further, the successful candidate will be responsible for: The inspection, maintenance and troubleshooting of tools and equipment Understanding calibration methods and standards Inventory management, managing tool availability and replacement Coordination of equipment demand and availability with production, test and other teams. Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and a 9-day fortnight will be considered for this role. About you Your skills and experience will include: Five plus years within an engineering environment supporting medium subsystems or a group of smaller subsystems and/or equipment Directing and mentoring personnel in the operation and maintenance of supported systems The installation, testing and commissioning of electronic and IT systems The maintenance, repairs and operation of complex systems Proficiency in IPC workmanship standards Proficient in the use of PCs and relevant software applications (Microsoft Office suite etc) Circuits and wiring fault finding in PC and industrial computing bus systems (cPCI, VME) Previous experience in field fault diagnosis and repair of electronic and electrical equipment Familiarity with ISO 9001:2000 practices Previous experience in defence Quality Control and/or Quality Assurance training and experience.
