The Opportunity This position is for a Senior Technical Product Owner within Manulife’s Products and Platforms team. We are seeking a talented, motivated and driven individual who will be responsible for being a Product Owner of Cloud and AI based automation development Agile Scrum Development Squad(s) for better Developer and User experience. You will be creating user stories, prioritizing backlog and performing agile scrum ceremonies for Agile scrum squad(s). This will be through engagement with application owners, developers, cloud operations and security teams, product managers, engineering team and leadership. You will also be responsible for developing deliverable/release technical content for stakeholder consumption. You will interact cross-functionally with engineering, product managers, cloud operations team and internal business segments. People Leader Role: No Office Location: Toronto – Canada or Boston - USA Work arrangement: Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 days from Home; Remote working option is not available. Position Responsibilities: Responsible for being a Product Owner of Agile development scrum team(s). Creates and maintains a prioritized scrum team backlog based on business value, ROI and company vision. Responsible for Elaboration of User stories. Work both internally with functional groups (engineering, product managers, cloud operations team and internal business segments) to drive technical release content and deliverables. Engage with customers on an occasional basis, solicit requirements and prioritize backlog accordingly. Deliver Solution Presentations/Demos at internal and external business reviews and meetings. Create technical content for stakeholder consumption Required Qualifications: Experience in product owner responsibilities focused on Public Cloud Services, Software, Automation and Orchestration tools. Technical knowledge in Cloud automation, Devsecops and Application/Platform/Infrastructure security and monitoring tools preferred. Knowledge of AI and Low code/No Code Agentic AI development platforms such as Microsoft Copilot Studio and other AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, is desired. Experience with Agile development/Scrum methodologies required. Leadership skills to take new challenges and creativity to take new approaches to problems BS or equivalent required. Prior Product Owner background in software development and/or IT projects required.
