You will also be responsible for analysing, documenting, and translating business and technical requirements to support cybersecurity initiatives. You will work closely with security engineering teams, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure that cybersecurity solutions align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and Telstra’s enterprise risk frameworks. This role enables Agile delivery and plays a key part in the successful execution of security programs and projects, delivering cutting-edge capabilities that protect Telstra’s customers and business. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring projects are delivered on time, to scope, and to the highest standards. As a true Senior Technical Scrum Lead, your cybersecurity expertise and experience in security solutions will be essential in guiding talented technical teams across ICT infrastructure, Telco networking, and Telstra products. You will employ Agile best practices to drive virtual teams to deliver a program of work aligned with project sponsor expectations, and be accountable for achieving delivery targets across time, quality, and business outcomes. As a Senior Technical Scrum Lead, you will: Lead Agile ceremonies and guide teams in Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe environments. Translate business and technical needs into BRDs, FRS documents, user stories, and traceability artefacts. Collaborate with cybersecurity teams on SIEM, SOAR, IAM, endpoint protection, and threat detection initiatives. Facilitate technical workshops and engage stakeholders across IT, Risk, Legal, and Compliance. Support UAT planning, test case development, and defect triage. Contribute to governance, reporting, and risk management activities. What You’ll Bring 5+ years as a Scrum Lead in ICT, Telecommunications, or Cybersecurity. Strong cybersecurity and security engineering analysis experience (BRD/FRS through to UAT). Excellent communication and executive‑level stakeholder engagement. Bachelor‑level qualification plus Agile/Scrum/SAFe/BA certifications. Familiarity with Telstra PMO frameworks (highly regarded). Experience with SIEM, security automation, or Telco cyber projects is a bonus.
