Successful completion of a diploma or degree (College or University) from a recognized post-secondary institution in Mechanical Technology /Engineering *

• This may include Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technician/Technology, or Building Systems Engineering/Technology.

An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience, that is comparable to a degree/diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization relevant to the work to be performed, may serve as an alternative to meet the education standard.

1. Recent* and significant** experience in conducting inspections, or managing programs for building mechanical and auxiliary systems, assessing their condition and recommending any necessary corrective measures

1. Recent* and significant** experience in providing mechanical technical advice to internal or external clients on complex issues concerning mechanical building systems

• Recent experience is defined having experience for a minimum of five years within the last ten years.

**Significant experience is defined as a cumulative minimum of five years. The experience does not need to be consecutive but must total at least five years overall.
