SENIOR TECHNICAL UNDERWRITER

  • £45,000 - £57,500 p/a depending on experience + up to 17.5% bonus
  • 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Offered on a hybrid basis, with up to 3 days from home – offices in Belfast, Bristol, Glasgow, Stratford-upon-Avon, and York

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Experience managing complex commercial underwriting cases and referrals
  • Experience providing technical expertise in a regulatory environment
  • Proven record of developing and coaching others
  • Strong communication, organisation, and prioritisation skills
  • Experience building and managing effective stakeholder relationships

  • Advising, guiding, and training others to ensure technical knowledge and capabilities are up to date
  • Managing the administration and resolution of complex cases and referrals
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements at all times
  • Assisting with strategic planning and development of technical capabilities
  • Monitoring and reporting on technical activities and capabilities
  • Identifying areas for improvement and driving efficiency and service improvements
