SENIOR TECHNICAL WRITER:

On behalf of our technology client, Procom is searching for a Senior Technical Writer for a 7-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

SENIOR TECHNICAL WRITER - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Technical Writer will be involved in creating and editing technical project documents related to Azure cloud architecture and infrastructure design. The role focuses on documenting systems and operational procedures to support a current platform upgrade and infrastructure enhancement.

SENIOR TECHNICAL WRITER - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Strong knowledge and experience with Azure cloud architecture and infrastructure documentation.
  • Experience in creating and editing technical project documents.
  • Skilled at using Power Designer, Microsoft Visio, UML, and Adobe Technical Communication Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with cross-functional teams and a wide range of audiences.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
  • A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines.

SENIOR TECHNICAL WRITER – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Knowledge and experience in publishing content on websites.
  • Proficiency in French.
  • Strong interviewing and listening skills.
  • Ability to validate technical documentation with product functionality.
  • Experience in creating content and graphics for end-user administration guides.
Responsibilities
  • Create professional technical project and user documentation, including systems and operational procedures.
  • Develop documentation tasks for Azure cloud architecture and infrastructure design.
  • Edit architecture artefacts based on existing systems or design concepts from senior team members.
  • Utilize standard technical writing tools such as Power Designer, Microsoft Visio, UML, and Adobe Technical Communication Suite.
