• Analyses malfunctioning equipment and systems, recommends correction action, and makes electrical or other type repairs and modifications as approved by supervision.
• Strong background in electrical engineering.
• Maintains a working understanding of equipment, systems and facilities in order to perform maintenance and repairs effectively, under general directions.
• Uses past practices, basic electrical tables and technical references to determine materials and sizes connected with day to day operation and maintenance.
• Identifies and gets required tools, equipment and instruments to perform assign work(s) effectively.
• Follows and adhere to safety instructions at all the times.
• Maintain standard records related to the Electrical systems.
• Occasionally supervises lesser workers in routine maintenance of equipment and project work. Performs duties as assigned or needed for proper departmental operation.
• Disassembles repair and reassembles Electrical equipment, machines, tools, etc. Also maintain inventory of items used in repair and maintenance work. Keeps records and maintains operating file on machine information as needed for proper service and maintenance.
• Answer trouble calls for requested repair on equipment such as power trip, water leak, fire alarm, HVAC system. Treats with proper tools and spare parts when necessary.
