Job purpose To carry out advanced electrical and electronic diagnostics, fault finding, and repairs on customer vehicles across a wide range of Nissan and Infiniti models, using manufacturer-approved diagnostic equipment, wiring diagrams, and repair procedures in accordance with OEM standards and guidelines.   Job Responsibilities Financial Performance * Achieve the agreed targets for Sold Hours, Efficiency, Productivity, and Overall Utilisation.   Technical Operations * Perform diagnostic, electrical, and electronic subsystem repairs in accordance with approved repair procedures, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications. * Use advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately identify and rectify vehicle faults. * Record any additional repair work or recommendations using the E-Estimate digital application and update the Team Leader accordingly. * Receive repair orders from the Team Leader and fully understand the scope of work before commencing repairs. * Review vehicle service history and identify any applicable OEM recall campaigns. * Complete authorised repairs and notify the Team Leader of any further findings or recommendations. * Perform software updates and vehicle programming activities in line with manufacturer recommendations. * Demonstrate strong manual dexterity, technical expertise, mechanical aptitude, and advanced computer skills. * Take ownership of all aspects of the role, working effectively with minimal supervision. * Adhere to quality control procedures to prevent and correct workmanship issues that fall below required standards. * Provide cover for the Team Leader and support workshop operations when required. * Handle and resolve complex customer concerns, escalating matters to the Team Leader where necessary. * Provide mentoring, coaching, and on-the-job training to newly appointed technicians. * Assist the Team Leader with day-to-day operational activities as required.   Customer Experience * Handle customer vehicles with the utmost care and ensure safe working practices at all times. * Learning and Development * Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring personal and workshop tools remain in good condition. * Participate in Training Needs Assessments conducted by the Training Academy. * Continuously develop technical knowledge and skills through Nissan-approved training programmes. * Read and interpret complex technical documentation, including safety procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, repair manuals, and wiring diagrams.   Policies, Procedures, and Compliance * For warranty repairs, follow OEM warranty procedures, correctly tag replaced parts, and transfer them to the centralised warranty store. * Carry out recall campaigns, including airbag replacement programmes, in accordance with OEM requirements. * Diagnose and repair air-conditioning systems following approved service procedures. * Ensure full compliance with F1 standards and OEM guidelines. * Follow all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements, standard operating procedures, and safety regulations, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment. * Ensure compliance with Nissan Dealer Standards and established process guidelines.   Qualifications * 2-year ITI (Industrial Training Institute) NCVT Certificate, or * 3-year Diploma in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.   Experience * Minimum of 5 years' experience within an automotive dealership environment. * At least 2 years' experience working as an Automotive Electrician.   Competencies * Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills. * Excellent manual dexterity and physical fitness to carry out repair activities. * High level of technical and mechanical competence. * Strong computer literacy and ability to use advanced diagnostic systems. * Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks. * Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills. * Coaching and mentoring capability. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.   Language Requirements * Proficient in English (spoken and written).
