Description:
QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:
- Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.

- Proven experience in a highly regulated industry, particularly in aerospace or automotive, with a strong understanding of industry standards and compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience in a testing and quality assurance environment, ensuring products meet rigorous performance and safety standards.
- Exceptional organizational skills with sound judgment, capable of multitasking and adapting to shifting priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D modeling software, with practical experience in design and engineering applications.
- Demonstrated expertise in operating metal machining and fabrication equipment, with a solid grasp of machining principles and techniques.

Join our structures team at the Interiors Engineering Development Lab (EDL) as an Engineering Services Senior Technician, where you’ll take the lead on a variety of technical tasks with minimal supervision. In this role, you’ll play a key part in the planning and execution of engineering projects, bringing your expertise to bear on complex challenges. You’ll serve as a valuable resource, collaborating on diverse tasks that drive innovation and excellence within our engineering initiatives.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Collaborate closely with engineers to build, test, and refine commercial aircraft seats and furniture, ensuring each component meets rigorous standards for safety and performance.
- Provide expert technical support to engineers across a wide range of tasks, contributing to the successful completion of critical projects.
- Engage in detailed discussions with engineers to understand and evaluate the nuances of test article builds, test procedures, and results, providing insightful feedback and recommendations.
- Utilize proficiency in hand tools to support various technical and assembly tasks, ensuring precision and quality in all work performed.
- Apply knowledge of basic mechanical and manufacturing concepts to assist in the design, testing, and troubleshooting of aircraft seats and furniture.
- Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills to effectively collaborate in a team environment and convey technical information clearly.
- Leverage basic computer proficiency to document test results, prepare reports, and maintain accurate records.
- Employ working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel to manage data, create technical documents, and support project management tasks.
- Interpret engineering drawings with a high degree of accuracy to guide assembly and testing processes.
