Schools within the College offer a wide range of degrees supported by a wide and varied range of technical facilities. A cross-school technical team (known as the College Technical Team) combine discipline expertise with operational flexibility creating a dynamic and multi-disciplinary environment to enable delivery of the many and varied programmes. You will be required to work across the Schools and their buildings, providing technical support to teaching, research, and commercial service delivery.
The role provides highly specialist technical support to undergraduate and postgraduate students, and teaching staff. You will advise/guide students on specialist techniques and processes relevant to the specialism and be responsible for maintaining and operating equipment/apparatus.
The role focuses on operating and supporting the Studios and Video Edit facilities, while these facilities are used mainly by students from the Journalism program the facilities are available to be used by programs from other schools and there is an expectation that the post holder will also support these.
