JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in computer science or equivalent work experience with computer systems desirable.
• Five years of experience working with computers and networks. Experience in educational organizations preferred.
• Experience with break/fix repair, software troubleshooting, hardware and software installation/upgrades. Competent to diagnose and repair hardware and software issues via proper path of troubleshooting in order to resolve issues quickly and accurately the first time.
• Experience with instructing personnel in the use and operation of computer hardware and software.
• Ability to handle confidential matters, set priorities, work well under pressure with attention to detail.
• Ability to work with minimal direction.
• Must be well organized, have good oral and written communication skills, leadership skills and a commitment to customer service.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and insured vehicle for onsite repairs.
• Ability to lift 35lbs without assistance.
• Experienced with Unix, Perl, Apple OS X server, security softwares, enterprise mail server, IP telephony, Casper software, cloud services and web-based email.
• Such alternatives to the above as deemed appropriate by the Chief Operating Officer.

SALARY: $28.45/HR. - $31.39/HR.

• Coordinates all phases of technological equipment repair services including maintaining the District’s status/relationship as an Authorized Apple Support Provider, and certifications in applicable security software systems.
• Assists in the acquisition and implementation of voice, video, and data hardware/software equipment/applications as resources are available.
• Manages software patch management to include the ability to create, update and manage software.
• Configures and troubleshoots security systems, including Avigilon related systems. Adds, maintains, corrects and installs cameras, badge readers, and door alarms.
• Develops databases to manage security assets including, cameras, doors and IP information.
• Maintains Apple Certified Desktop and Portable Technician status (ACDT and ACPT).
• In cooperation with appropriate personnel, arranges for training on hardware and software applications supported by the District network.
• Provides direct technical training and assistance to building computer support personnel.
• Develops and maintains professional, personal skills and knowledge of emerging technologies necessary to execute the functions of a Senior Technician.
• Ensures the safety of students.
• Establishes and maintains cooperative professional relationships.
• Remains free of any alcohol or nonprescription controlled substance and abuse of any prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout employment in the district.
• Exhibits professional behavior, emotional stability, and sound judgment.
• Serves as a role model for students in how to conduct themselves as citizens and as responsible, and intelligent human beings.
• Understands the legal responsibility to help instill in students the belief in, and practice of, ethical principles and democratic values.
• Maintains confidentiality and respect for confidential information at all times.
• Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or his/her designee.
  TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 261 days (251 work days and 10 paid holidays); 8 hours per day, excluding lunch; number of days of vacation, holidays and salary as determined by Negotiated Agreement. Work year to be established by the Board.
