Recent success has resulted in General Dynamics developing the next generation of Advanced High Performance, Safety Critical Mission Computer Systems to meet the needs of latest platforms in development by several aircraft manufacturers. These Mission Computing Systems provide the functionality that integrates aircraft systems, sensor systems and stores management systems with the information and control systems required by the aircrew to meet the demanding operational needs of these aircraft. Job Description We are hiring a talented Senior Qualification Technician to help the development of the next generation of avionics systems. As a Senior Qualification Technician, you will undertake a range of activities, including: Leading and executing qualification testing for electronic and electro-mechanical systems. Developing and reviewing qualification plans, procedures, and reports. Coordinating with design, systems, and test teams to ensure qualification requirements are met. Qualifications To be successful in this role you will need: Advanced understanding of qualification principles, environmental testing, and regulatory standards. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead technical discussions and influence decision-making. Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and test data. Skilled in using test equipment and data acquisition systems HNC/HND or equivalent in Electronics, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering (or relevant discipline). Willingness to pursue further professional development or certification where appropriate Additional Information This role has a salary of between £28,000 and £35,000 plus our flexible benefits package. We are open to this role being spent with time working from home and in the office (hybrid - typically 3 days working in office) on a weekly basis or fully in our offices.
