Description

Job duties Plan, manage, and oversee SAP ABAP development projects from initiation to completion. Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop project plans, track milestones, and manage risks to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery. Coordinate with SAP functional teams, technical teams, and business stakeholders to align development with business needs. Monitor project progress and report status updates to leadership and key stakeholders. Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of custom SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms (RICEF). Work with SAP functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Guide developers on complex ABAP programming, including object-oriented programming, ALV reports, BAPIs (Business Applications Planning Interface), BADIs (Business Add-Ins), and enhancements. Manage SAP ABAP developments across different SAP modules (e.g., MM (Materials Management, SD (Sales & Distribution), FI (Financial Accounting), PP (Production Planning), HCM (Human Capital Management), BW (Business Warehouse). Oversee the integration of SAP with other systems using RFCs (Remote Functional Call), IDOCs (Intermediate Document), Web Services, or APIs (Application Programming Interfaces). Coordinate unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for ABAP developments. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in SAP custom developments and standard functionalities. Provide post-go-live support, maintenance, and enhancements for SAP ABAP programs. Act as the primary point of contact between business users, IT teams, and external SAP consultants. Gather, analyze, and document business requirements to develop efficient ABAP solutions. May telecommute from anywhere in the U.S. 20% domestic travel required. Education and Experience required Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electronics Engineering, or closely related field plus Five (5) years of experience in SAP integrated solutions development. Will accept Masters degree and three (3) years or experience in lieu of a Bachelors degree and five (5) years. Background 5 years (if qualifying with Bachelors)/3 years (if qualifying with Masters) experience in SAP PI/PO, and SAP CPI integration platforms. 5 years (if qualifying with Bachelors)/3 years (if qualifying with Masters) experience in SAP ABAP, RICE, OOPS concept, BADI, Smartforms, and BAPI. 5 years (if qualifying with Bachelors)/3 years (if qualifying with Masters) experience in APIs, web services, and EDI integration standards. 5 years (if qualifying with Bachelors)/3 years (if qualifying with Masters) experience with cloud-based integration and S/4HANA migration.
