Job Description The Voice & Network Engineer will be responsible for the deployment, support, and optimisation of voice and data infrastructure across customer and internal environments. This includes PBX and SIP platforms (Avaya, 3CX, Teams) as well as LAN, WAN, and firewall configurations. The successful candidate will ensure the delivery of resilient, secure, and high-performance connectivity and telephony services, supporting business operations and customer solutions end-to-end. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain Avaya IP Office, 3CX, and Microsoft Teams Phone systems. Manage SIP trunking, call routing, number management, and SBC configurations. Deploy and support LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and firewalls (e.g. Cisco, Mikrotik, Fortinet, DrayTek). Monitor and maintain network performance, QoS, and VoIP quality across customer environments. Troubleshoot complex issues across voice and network layers (SIP traces, packet capture, diagnostics). Implement redundancy, upgrades, failover, and backup configurations for business continuity. Support customer projects including POC, office relocations, connectivity upgrades, and UC migrations. Maintain detailed documentation of voice and network configurations and change logs. Collaborate with vendors and carriers to resolve escalated service or provisioning issues. Participate in an on-call rotation. Qualifications 3–5 years’ experience in voice and network engineering. Strong knowledge of SIP, RTP, QoS, VLANs, routing protocols, and firewall rulesets. Experience with Avaya IP Office, 3CX, and Microsoft Teams Voice. Proficiency in switching and routing (Cisco, Mikrotik, Draytek, Fortinet, Ubiquiti, etc.). Familiarity with SD-WAN and VPN technologies. Understanding of network security principles and firewall configuration. Experience with Wireshark and network diagnostic tools. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Relevant certifications desirable — Avaya ACIS, 3CX Advanced, Microsoft Teams Voice, or equivalent. Additional Information Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience. Company pension scheme.
