POSITION: Senior Test and Evaluation Engineer
LOCATION: El Segundo, CA
REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE: Active TS with SCI eligibility
POSITION TYPE/STANDARD WORK HOURS: Part time, 20 hours

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Highly knowledgeable in classified space control systems engineering processes and procedures, including but not limited to requirements development, technology maturation, test, and evaluation
  • Knowledgeable in model based systems engineering’s application to requirements refinement, architecture, design, verification, and validation
  • Demonstrates ability to organize and conduct technical design reviews and audits
  • Experience working in a technical role within SZ/BC within the last 10 years
Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support Space Acquisitions and Engineering: Provide technical advice for projects at any stage of the acquisition life cycle, including advanced technology, concept development, and integration.
  • Advise on Cost, Schedule, and Performance: Assist the government in managing acquisition programs efficiently.
  • Develop and Revise Acquisition Documentation: Draft and update Joint Capabilities Integrated Development System (JCIDS) and acquisition documents, including Capability Documents, Acquisition Strategies, Concept of Operations, Technical Evaluations, and reports, following government standards (e.g., MIL-STD).
  • Provide Technical and Programmatic Reports: Prepare SME-level status reports on individual programs or the entire portfolio in coordination with government program managers.
  • Identify and Mitigate Risks: Recommend and implement acquisition process improvements, risk mitigation plans, and programmatic changes. Support risk management efforts, including risk identification and mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and Maintain Program Schedules: Track acquisition implementation, report requirement gaps, assess program risks, and update acquisition reports based on program execution data.
  • Support Technical Engagements: Advise and assist with technical meetings, design reviews, working groups, program conferences, and contractor and customer coordination.
  • Mission Protection and Operations: Provide insights and solutions for mission protection, operations, and data assessments. Conduct impact analyses, compliance audits, readiness reviews, and technical anomaly evaluations.
  • Command and Control (C2) Integration: Support ongoing and advanced C2 efforts, ensuring integration with classified portfolios. Act as a liaison between Space C2, Enterprise Ground Services (EGS), and classified program offices.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
