SENIOR TEST AUTOMATION DEVELOPER

Position Summary: As a Senior Test Automation Developer, you assist the Development Manager and Test Lead by implementing test automation solutions. We are looking for individuals with the experience and capability to work collaboratively in a work environment that requires a broad knowledge of automated testing environments, object-oriented programming, and web application development. The Senior Test Automation Developer will work closely with a team of highly skilled developers, contributing on delivering test automation projects with our clients, as well as the support and advancement of CSE’s proprietary tools. The chosen candidate must demonstrate a high motivation to learn new technologies, takes initiative to continually improve our test automation practice.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related discipline
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and detail-oriented
• Ability to self-motivate, self-manage, and communicate project status
• 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or other related discipline
• 5+ years of experience in Web Services testing (REST/SOAP)
• with direct involvement in automated testing of web applications
• 5+ years of experience in object oriented programming languages (JAVA, C++, C#, etc.)
• Expert knowledge in at least two test automation tools (Selenium, HP QTP/UFT, VS CodedUI, TestComplete, etc.)
• 3+ years of experience in SQL scripting, database design
• 2+ years testing experience with Spring Boot, Microservices, Docker, RabbitMQ, MongoDB implementations
• Solid understanding of SDLC and methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Iterative)
• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems, commands and shell scripts

• Design and improve test automation frameworks and custom test harnesses
• Develop test documentation, execute tests, and monitor results using application life cycle tools
• Deliver a set of reusable and modular tests for UI components
• Adhere to and promote standards for test development best practices
• Follows established testing standards and methods to create and contribute to the development of overall test plans, gather requirements, the design of complex SIT plans, and evaluate the application of emerging technologies
• Works with team to cover each deliverable by means of test case coverage, test automation, and exploratory testing
• Participating in test automation planning, implementing and actively maintaining CI/CD testing pipelines
• Analyze test results, present reports, and provide feedback and recommendations
