Job Description You will design, build, and maintain automated test suites for web, API, and/or mobile applications, integrate them into CI/CD pipelines to deliver high‑quality releases in an agile environment. You will also contribute to test strategy, test design, reporting, and continuous improvement of our QA practices as part of our digitalization initiatives. Key responsibilities Lead and contribute to quality assurance initiatives, applying strong software test engineering principles and QA best practices Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test suites for UI and API, ensuring long-term reliability and maintainability Implement robust automated tests using modern frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, REST), leveraging effective test design techniques and optionally BDD/Gherkin approaches Define and own test strategies, including acceptance criteria and comprehensive test cases for new features and regression coverage Develop and maintain test automation solutions using at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python) Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, optimizing for speed, stability, and visibility of test execution Apply Git best practices, including branching strategies, code reviews, and pull request workflows to support team collaboration Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables Monitor, analyze, and report on key quality metrics (e.g., test coverage, defect leakage, flaky test rate, pipeline health), clearly communicating insights, risks, and recommendations; experience with tools such as Allure is an advantage Actively participate in Agile processes (Scrum/Kanban), contributing to continuous improvement and cross-functional team effectiveness Qualifications Mandatory Skills: Strong proficiency in software QA methodologies and testing tools Solid understanding of software test engineering principles and best practices Hands-on test automation experience (5+ years recommended) building and maintaining automated suites for UI and/or API. Hands-on experience with UI and API tests using modern frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, REST) and solid test design techniques. Familiarity with BDD/Gherkin is a plus. Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language commonly used for test automation (e.g., Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or any other). Expertise in test case design, ensuring thorough coverage and clarity Practical experience in test implementation across different testing levels (UI, API, etc.) Ability to generate clear, structured, and insightful test reports Proficiency with Git, including version control workflows and collaboration practices Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken Good to have Skills: Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and their application in modern development environments Awareness of digitalization trends and their impact on software development and quality assurance practices Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and usability testing, ensuring solutions meet end-user needs and expectations Foundational knowledge of DevOps practices, including collaboration, automation, and continuous delivery principles Additional Information * Please be informed that our remote working possibility is only available within Hungary due to European taxation regulation.
