Senior Quality Engineer | AI SaaS Startup | Fully Remote (Australia / New Zealand)

The Opportunity

We're partnering with a growing SaaS business using AI to transform how organisations make important business decisions.

They're looking for a Senior Quality Engineer who wants to do more than test software. You'll take ownership of quality, work closely with the CTO and engineering team, and help shape the platform and how software is built and delivered.

What You'll Be Doing

• Own quality across the platform, ensuring reliable releases and great customer experiences.
• Build and improve automated testing frameworks using Playwright or similar tools.
• Collaborate with the CTO and developers to influence technical decisions.
• Use AI-powered tools and agents to improve testing and software delivery.
• Test APIs, integrations and complex user journeys.
• Improve test coverage, CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
• Balance exploratory testing with automation.  

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience in Quality Engineering, Test Automation or SDET roles.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright or similar frameworks.
• Startup or scale-up experience is essential, with SaaS experience highly preferred.
• Experience with APIs, CI/CD and modern engineering practices.
• Interest or experience in AI-assisted testing and development.
• A proactive mindset and the ability to take ownership of quality.
• A software development background would be a big plus!
