Reporting to the Test Manager, the primary purpose of this role is to perform a hybrid of automation and manual testing duties in Watercare Digital. You will be working across the application delivery teams, engaging with stakeholders, develop and maintain the test automation framework and contributing to the test automation strategy. Key responsibilities will include: Contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing practices. Design, develop, maintain, and evolve optimal test automation solutions in the areas of UI, Integration, or Data. Collaborate with product owners and delivery leads to ensure appropriate test coverage of core functionality, API's and data. Engage with product owners to identify proper test acceptance criteria. Mentoring of junior members of the test automation team. Supporting a high-performance team culture. Perform both manual and automated testing. Generally, manual tests are created first of which some are identified for conversion to test automation. Ngā pūkenga e rapu nei mātou | About you To be successful in this role you will have: Tertiary level qualification in information technology or relevant area of study. Have a ISTQB Agile Tester or better certification. Strong experience in manual testing combined with test automation, and using Selenium Solid experience using Java code for test automation, working with cloud technologies AWS or MS Azure, Azure DevOps for test automation repos and pipelines, and working in agile delivery environments. Experience creating, maintaining, and improving test automation frameworks. Experience in leadership such as test lead (formal or informal). Skilled in test planning and proven ability to granulate large items of work into smaller tasks. A positive and proactive attitude who enjoys problem solving and engaging with agile squads. Enthusiasm about technology and a strong results/solutions focus.
