Description

We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer for our Berlin location as soon as possible.

Your responsibilities

Conception and implementation of a holistic test strategy for web applications (frontend & backend) as well as the implementation of automated test suites.
Responsibility for test coverage from requirements analysis and the creation of precise test cases to successful deployment.
Further development of test automation with Playwright and TypeScript and its integration into the GitLab CI/CD pipeline
Ensuring the robustness of microservices through thorough interface testing (REST/JSON) and validation of system communication
Promoting a modern testing culture through the establishment of shift-left approaches and experiments with AI-driven testing (e.g., AI-supported test case generation or self-healing tests)
Knowledge transfer within the team through coaching developers towards "testability" and the establishment of common quality standards (e.g., BDD)
Ensuring non-functional requirements (performance, security, accessibility) in close coordination with the product owner and the development teams.

Your profile

Successfully completed technical studies (ideally computer science) or a comparable qualification (e.g. IT specialist).
Several years of sound expertise in quality assurance of modern web applications as well as knowledge of critical error sources in complex frontend and backend architectures.
Confident handling of Playwright, TypeScript, Git, Docker and the orchestration of tests in GitLab CI.
Expertise in using Jira/Xray and Confluence to manage test cycles and document test results.
Confident handling of agile processes and modern testing methods such as exploratory testing, regression testing and BDD/Gherkin.
An ISTQB certification or experience in the public sector would be desirable.
Good communication skills in German (at least C1) and English (at least B2)
