Description

Piper Companies is hiring a Senior Test Engineer (Chemical, Mechanical and Aerospace) for a Clean Energy Technology start up located outside of Houston, TX. The Senior Test Engineer (Chemical, Mechanical and Aerospace) will lead the day to day testing Operations in the demonstration facility and will help to demonstrate the clean energy cycle by leading the validation of the technology. The Senior Test Engineer (Chemical, Mechanical and Aerospace) will need to sit on site in La Poete, Texas 5 days per week.

Responsibilities of the Senior Test Engineer (Chemical, Mechanical and Aerospace):

  • Drive and move the daily planning, execution, monitoring and reporting of system and component tests
  • Lead and work with the team to make the most of demonstrations and make sure testing milestones are met, operations and maintenance
  • Develop, design and and refine test procedures, over see modifications to ensure fit-for-purpose and document as-built configurations
  • Act as technical authority in the control room to ensure safety, data integrity and alignment with test goals

Requirements of the Senior Test Engineer (Chemical, Mechanical and Aerospace):

  • Bachelors Degree or higher in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical or Aerospace is preferred)
  • 8+ Years of experience testing new and unproven products or systems within Energy, Aerospace or Industrial Industries
  • Expertise in test planning, instrumentation, operations and control systems
  • Experience working with high risk and high complexity systems
  • Preferred: Experience working with Engineering Change Management Processes and Controls

Compensation of the Senior Test Engineer (Chemical, Mechanical and Aerospace):

  • $160,000 - $180,000 base salary
