Description
This position is for a Senior Test Engineer to lead new product test programs including development testing, qualification testing, test report generation, enforcing test standards, and project management of complex test equipment for electro-mechanical actuators. Provide hands-on test leadership for new product development programs Design and develop new test equipment for verification of electro-mechanical actuator during development, qualification, and production phases. Write engineering documents including but not limited to test plans, procedures, and reports. Manage the design, build, and verification of test equipment through external suppliers. Develop test equipment requirements from customer and product requirements. Coordinate testing with outside test labs. Support technicians in test execution and test equipment development. Create and release engineering drawings and schematics. Provide troubleshooting and repair of test equipment. Perform hands-on testing as required Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or other Engineering field from an accredited institution Minimum 3 years of experience with new product development, sustaining, and/or test engineering Must reside within a 70 mile radius of Grand Rapids, MI. Active Duty military are exempt from the geographical requirement This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158 Knowledge and experience with DO-160 or MIL-STD testing requirements.
