Description

Description
Leidos has an opening for a Senior Test Engineer in our Orlando, FL office . This opening is to support the Advanced Battle Management System’s (ABMS) Digital Infrastructure (DI) Network Manager program. In this mission we support the Department of Air Force’s (DAF) to field and operate the ABMS Digital Infrastructure.
ABMS is a top modernization priority for the DAF and will be the backbone of a network-centric approach to battle management in partnership with all the services across the Department of Defense. That broader effort is known as Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2). As envisioned, JADC2 will allow U.S. forces from all services — as well as allies and partners — to sense, make sense and act upon a vast array of data and information faster than adversaries can detect and respond.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess a minimum of a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree with and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.

  • Demonstrable knowledge in test automation and test result analysis
  • Demonstrable experience in design review participation and providing customer centric input
  • Demonstrable experience in network topologies to validate functionality, performance, stability and scalability of features and products.
  • Proven expertise in creating test methodologies and writing test specifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with customer representatives, domain experts, and other systems engineers in the development of complex DoD systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of system integration activities.
  • Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
  • Experience in Integration, test, verification, and validation
  • Demonstrated experience with Agile program execution and using agile tools (e.g. Jira and Confluence)
  • Mid-level network understanding – software defined networking a plus
  • Mid-level understanding of government systems security testing (ACAS/Nessus) and remediation – ability to discuss security issues and concerns
  • Demonstrated ability to brief technical and non-technical customers
  • Ability to achieve a high degree of customer satisfaction and maintain Leidos positive brand recognition

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience working on ABMS or JADC2 initiatives
  • 10 years of networking routing and switching experience

Come break things (in a good way). Then build them smarter.
We’re the tech company everyone calls when things get weird. We don’t wear capes (they’re a safety hazard), but we do solve high-stakes problems with code, caffeine, and a healthy disregard for “how it’s always been done.”
Responsibilities

The Test Engineering team will be responsible for enterprise level test requirements development, planning, system hardware-software-network integration, verification, validation and fielding support for network and network systems.
This includes defining and specifying the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of products. This team will work with vendors to evaluate systems, align test requirements, identify test methods for verification and validation of network systems.
