SAIC is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to lead and support advanced Very Low Frequency (VLF) submarine communication systems. Join our innovative team in San Diego, CA, and contribute to mission-critical efforts in communication technology development, integration, and testing. As a primary point of contact (POC) you’ll leverage your expertise to advise the government and ensure the successful development, testing, and implementation of critical communication systems. You'll collaborate with teams, manage technical tasks, and ensure projects meet operational and schedule requirements. This role is an ONSITE role in San Diego, CA. Must be local to area JOB DUTIES: Lead SubComms Test Engineer Provide expert guidance on hardware and networked systems testing, configuration, and documentation Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during integration, implementation, and testing phases Offer technical direction, mentorship, and training to other members of the team. Interface regularly with management and customers to ensure alignment and progress Support the management of task orders, coordinating with multiple agencies, vendors, and customers to achieve program goals Write/update CDRL documentation, such as Software Test Plans, Test Descriptions and Test Reports REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field and five (5) years or more relative experience. Years of experience in lieu of degree to be considered. Must be a U.S. Citizen Must have an Active Secret clearance to start Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Clearance after start Proven experience in writing and executing test plans, test cases, etcetera Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills A demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly Excellent time and task management skills to include executing tests of significant duration while monitoring results Comfortability working in a secure lab environment, including cool temperatures and noise levels associated with server rooms DESIRED SKILLS: Experience in establishing equipment configurations to meet operational requirements utilizing radio frequency, TCP/IP and Serial interfaces Background in radio frequency engineering is a plus Familiarity with waveform development and DoD communications systems Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio, Project, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
