Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As a (Senior) Test Engineer at Kempower, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the ever-evolving EV market. Together with the testing team, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality of our charging solutions and directly contribute to our mission to revolutionize transportation.
The position will be adjusted based on the selected candidate’s experience and skills, ranging from Test Engineer to Senior Test Engineer.

ROLE SPECIFICS:

  • Creating, executing, and documenting test scenarios for the validation and verification of charging solutions
  • Executing firmware release tests to ensure quality, functionality and seamless integration of components
  • Working together with hardware and software engineers to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
  • Maintain test infrastructures and actively enhance system testing practices for continuous improvement
  • Leading our subcontractors test engineer(s)
    The testing team works primarily in our testing facilities at Lahti headquarters or Tampere. Occasional remote workdays can be discussed. Also, occasional travel may be required to support our global initiatives.

WHAT HELPS YOU SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE

  • Previous experience in testing
  • Degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent
  • Practical experience in testing embedded systems, IoT devices, or other cloud-connected, hardware-software integrated products.
  • Understanding of agile product development practices
  • Familiarity with fundamental electronics principles such as voltage, current, resistance and power
  • Familiarity with Embedded Linux and networked systems and the knowledge of test automation tools and test reporting frameworks are considered a plus
  • Experience in leading subcontractor test engineers
  • A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and technologies as well as flexibility to respond to changing situations
  • Team player mentality and collaborative mindset with a strong sense of teamwork, active knowledge sharing, and seamless cross-functional cooperation.
  • Valid drivers’ license (B) as you will be testing our charging solutions with electric vehicles
    As our official company language is English, proficiency in spoken and written English is required.
