Senior Tester

Do you want to contribute to the modernization of one of the largest and most complex IT landscapes in the Netherlands? As a Senior Tester you work on business-critical systems within a large public organization. You combine functional testing with test automation and play an important role in the transition from existing mainframe systems to modern solutions.

What are you going to do?

• You work in a multidisciplinary Agile team of approximately seven professionals. Together with developers, designers and acceptance testers, you realize new functionalities and work on the replacement of existing systems. The team works in sprints and Program Increments.Your duties include:Reviewing architectural and design documentation from a testing perspective.
• Drafting and maintaining logical and physical test designs.
• Developing and maintaining automated test scripts with Cucumber and Playwright.
• Setting up and managing test data for different test scenarios.
• Perform functional, integration, regression and interface testing.
• Testing APIs, web services and connections with other systems.
• Analyzing test results and reporting findings.
• Taking a leading role in solving defects and quality issues.
• Coordinate with other teams on cross-chain testing.
• Contribute to Continuous Integration and structural quality improvement.
• Advising on the further development of test automation.

When does this job suit you?

• You have an HBO working and thinking level.
• You have at least five years of experience as a tester, Senior Tester or Test Automation Engineer.
• You have extensive experience with functional testing and test automation.
• Knowledge of and experience with mainframe environments is highly desirable.
• You have experience with Cucumber and Playwright, or similar frameworks.
• You have knowledge of TMap and experience in drawing up test scenarios from functional designs.
• You have worked within complex IT landscapes, preferably within an SOA or microservices environment.
• You have experience with test data, SQL and testing APIs and web services.
• You are familiar with REST, JSON and HTTP.
• You have experience with Agile/Scrum and Continuous Integration.
• You are prepared to perform automated, functional and manual tests.
