Our welders work on custom stainless steel and aluminum fabrications, including vacuum chambers, tanks, pipe assemblies, and structural components that support advanced testing systems. Why Welders Choose LACO • Clean, organized temperature-controlled shop • 9/80 schedule — every other Friday off • Opportunity to build complex stainless steel fabrications • Work on equipment used by leading aerospace and technology companies • Stable company with 50+ years of innovation • Collaborative team environment with engineering support • Opportunities to expand fabrication and technical skills Requirements What You’ll Be Responsible For • Perform TIG welding (GTAW) on stainless steel and aluminum components • Fit and weld chambers/tanks and pressure vessels • Fabricate components using engineering drawings and blueprints • Weld pipe assemblies ranging from 1/8” to 36” • Fabricate tanks and assemblies ranging from 4” to 8’ in diameter • Perform layout, fitting, and fabrication of welded assemblies • Inspect welds and completed assemblies to ensure quality and structural integrity • Maintain safe work practices and organized work areas What Sets You Apart • 5–7+ years TIG welding experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment • Strong experience welding stainless steel and aluminum • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and weld prints • Experience fitting and welding large fabrications, tanks, or structural assemblies • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing clean, high-quality welds • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a fabrication team Bonus Experience (Nice to Have): • Experience welding vacuum chambers or pressure vessels • Experience with pipe welding • Experience with fabrication equipment such as rollers, ironworker, mills, or lathes • Background in aerospace or advanced manufacturing fabrication Career Growth — Build Your Skills and Advance At LACO, skilled trades professionals have opportunities to grow into roles such as: • Lead Welder / Fabrication Lead • Senior Fabrication Specialist • Advanced Assembly Technician We support professional growth through training, mentorship, and tuition reimbursement programs.
