Senior Town Planner - West Midlands Location: West Midlands Salary: £35k - £45k DOE I am partnering with a well-respected multi-service development consultancy in West Midlands who are looking for an experienced Senior Town Planner to join their team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys the variety and autonomy of consultancy work, contributing to projects across residential, commercial, mixed-use, and strategic land sectors. About the Role: You'll take a key role in every stage of the planning process - from initial site appraisals and promotions to preparing submissions and managing appeals. This role offers the chance to lead on a variety of projects, collaborate directly with clients, and support the development of junior team members within a friendly, supportive environment. Key Responsibilities: Manage complex planning applications and appeals from inception to completion. Provide expert planning advice to clients, landowners, and developers. Prepare detailed planning statements, policy representations, and supporting documentation. Represent clients at planning committees, public consultations, and hearings. Support business development activities and mentor junior colleagues to aid their professional growth. About You: MRTPI qualified or actively working towards chartership. Experience gained within a planning consultancy or local authority environment. Strong understanding of UK planning policy and development management processes. Excellent communication, report-writing, and presentation skills. Proactive, commercially aware, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
