Te whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity Partner with a multidisciplinary team to develop scope, design, and deliver transmission line projects that support decarbonisation and renewable energy integration. You will be responsible for shaping resilient power networks across Australasia. At Beca, you will mentor and be mentored by technical experts, gaining exposure to varied topographies, client needs, and design challenges. You’ll present innovative solutions using tools like PLS-CADD, considering structural loads, electrical clearance, and extreme weather. Beca partners with both new and established industry players, serving on numerous design panels for network operators in New Zealand and Australia, and delivering projects throughout the asset lifecycle from concept to decommissioning. You will complete engineering assessments, direct mitigation strategies and supervise design delivery, enhancing your expertise in health and safety and transmission standards. Ko wai koe | About you You are an experienced engineer with a strong background in the design and delivery of transmission line projects, whether from consulting, asset ownership, or industrial sectors. You understand the importance of collaboration, and you are ready to lead client conversations and contribute to design solutions. You are curious, analytical, and know when to seek input from technical experts. You enjoy working with others, have a good sense of humour, and are enthusiastic about making a difference. While we have plenty of scope to develop your skills, this role won’t suit a person starting their career such as at a graduate level.
