Description

Looking for a senior-level Transmission Planning Engineer interested in joining a fast-growing, dynamic, and collaborative team! This position will support the consulting firm’s Transmission Planning group, working on projects across all US ISOs/RTOs, with the ability to work fully remotely anywhere in the US.

The Senior Transmission Planning Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Performing power systems/transmission planning studies (power flow, load flow, steady state, short circuit, stability, & dynamic simulations)
  • Expertise in PSS/E, TARA, PSLF or similar software (PSCAD, EMTP, PowerWorld, ASPEN, CAPE, etc.)
  • Must have experience conducting multiple studies in parallel
  • Communicating and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders and other entities
  • Collaborating with clients to provide solutions to their engineering needs

The Senior Transmission Planning Engineer should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related
  • 4+ years of direct electric utility/transmission planning experience
  • Expertise in PSS/E, TARA, PSLF, ASPEN, PSCAD, EMTP, PowerWorld, etc.
  • Experience working directly with multiple RTOs/ISOs (PJM, MISO, ERCOT, etc.)
