HG are recruiting for a Senior Transport Clerk for our Client based in Hatfield, offering an exciting opportunity to support the Transport Manager with a range of daily tasks. This role involves the following key responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and coordinating tasks for Transport Clerks
  • Data gathering and reporting on a weekly and periodical basis, in line with operational processes
  • Support the delivery of Cost Control, Safety, Productivity, Service Excellence, and Culture within the team
  • Ensure that vehicles depart at the correct temperature for each journey
  • Oversee Pre Brief and Debrief compliance
  • Conduct Pre-Journey driver checks with the Transport Clerks
  • Ensure all Admin Legal compliance is met
  • Cover Day and Night shifts as per the rota
  • Provide additional support during Section Managers’ holidays

Candidate Requirements:

  • A keen passion for transport and eagerness to learn
  • Previous experience within a transport or logistics environment
  • Strong understanding of Driver’s Hours, Transport Regulations, and the Working Time Directive
  • Excellent geographical knowledge
  • A customer-focused attitude with a high level of attention to detail

Pay & Shifts:

  • PAYE: £14.51 - £29.02 per hour
  • Available shifts: 0600-1400, 1400-2200, 2200-0600
  • Flexibility to work 5 days out of 7, including weekends
