EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Supply Chain Management or related degree) or equivalent experience required with three (3) plus years work experience Microsoft Office/Excel proficient
  • Travel up to 10%. Excellent organizational, analytical, written, oral, and communication skills Ability to work independently
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong project management experience with attention to detail
  • Establish confident ability to communicate with vendors and internal associates

Responsibilities
  • Provide financial and operational analysis support for the Transportation Department
  • Analyze transportation data to support various projects and initiatives related to release dispatch and transport operations
  • Develop and update procedures for utilizing various systems and automation tools used by the Company related to transportation
  • Work with Team as the Information Technology (IT) representative for the Transportation Department
  • Provide analysis of current transportation and operations practices to determine process and cost improvement opportunities
  • Provide the necessary transportation analysis and decision support systems for transportation and other functional areas as deemed appropriate by the Transportation Manager
  • Work with the Team, operations management, IT, accounting, and sales to resolve issues and solve problems regarding transportation
  • Summarize and analyze key operational and system metrics on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
  • Act as a liaison between operations managers, tow vendors, IT, and transportation
  • Resolve service failures and help implement processes for continual improvement
  • Monitor the execution of transportation systems and related projects throughout the implementation and ongoing use to ensure that performance indicators are met
  • Create reports and reporting mechanisms to monitor and control all aspects of the transportation systems and related projects
  • Complete administrative support processes related to system updates
  • Ensure compliance between company policies and the procedures
  • Perform special projects as requested
