Under the general direction of the North Region (NR) Chief, Office of Design & Engineering Services (Redding), a Supervising Transportation Engineer, the incumbent will plan, organize and direct the work of Transportation Engineers (Civil), Transportation
Engineering Technicians, and Junior Engineering Technicians as Branch Chief of the Redding Hydraulics/Stormwater Branch. The work includes review and preparation of drainage improvement contract plans; hydraulic studies and drainage reports;
accumulate and analyze hydrologic and hydraulic data; storm water data reports (SWDR) and water pollution control plans; field review of drainage facilities and investigation of Maintenance referrals and complaints; coordinate drainage design activities with other design branches; and coordinate with various North Region functional branches.
