Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking a Intermediate/Senior Transportation Engineer in Calgary, AB
A leading engineering consultancy is seeking an Intermediate or Senior Transportation Engineer to join their Calgary office. This role is ideal for a professional with 6–10+ years of experience in transportation or municipal engineering, offering the opportunity to work on diverse projects including highway design, rural roads, road rehabilitation, active transportation, and infrastructure planning. Some Responsibilities include cost estimation, design drawings and mentoring of junior engineers.
The team is collaborative, office-based (with some flexibility), and values mentorship, innovation, and professional growth. You’ll work alongside a strong group of junior staff and a supportive leadership team on projects across Alberta, including planning studies, traffic impact assessments, pavement programs, and small bridge/culvert designs.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • P.Eng registered with APEGA
  • 6–10+ years of relevant experience in transportation or municipal engineering
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Alberta municipalities and/or Alberta Transportation is an asset
  • Leadership potential or client-facing experience preferred
  • Bachelors in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Tech
