QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Five or more years’ professional experience in transportation model estimation and application;
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, geography, economics, planning, or related field;
- Experience with at least one travel demand modelling software package (Emme, Visum, TransCAD, Aimsun, CUBE);
- Experience in data analysis, databases, and scripting (MS Access, R, SQL, Python, VBA);
- Familiarity with latest practices in transportation modelling and transportation planning processes;
Responsibilities:
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Arcadis is seeking a Senior Transportation Planner with expertise in transportation modelling to join our Mobility Advisory team. As a technical leader in our practice, you will provide knowledge, direction, strategy, and mentorship in all areas of transportation modelling and analytics to lead and support studies across numerous transportation disciplines. You will apply your expertise to help some of country’s most challenging transportation problems, such as delivering climate action, assessing policy effectiveness, conducting business case analysis, and supporting long-range infrastructure planning. ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
You will manage/lead transportation studies including supervising staff and undertaking and overseeing project tasks. You will be responsible for travel demand model design, estimation, and application including:
- Modelling and forecasting for strategic plans, transportation master plans, corridor studies
- Travel data collection/survey design, data analysis and interpretation, data synthesis and visualization
- Technical mentorship of junior staff
- Project management/coordination, and report/proposal writing;
