Description Senior Transportation Project Manager - Highway & Civil Infrastructure - Buffalo, NY Lead Buffalo-area highway design and civil infrastructure projects tied to NYSDOT Region 5, Western New York corridor improvements, intersection upgrades, roadway rehabilitation, PS&E delivery, and transportation projects serving Erie and Niagara County communities. Shape project strategy, strengthen NYSDOT and municipal agency partnerships, mentor teams, and deliver roadway, intersection, corridor, permitting, PS&E, and civil infrastructure projects that improve safety and mobility. What You’ll Do Lead highway transportation projects from proposal through design and construction. Manage project budgets, scope, schedule, staffing, billing, QA/QC, client updates, and closeout to ensure successful delivery. Lead design strategy and collaborate with teams, clients, partners, and stakeholders to align project decisions with client goals. Prepare winning proposals, serve as primary client contact, and support business development with public agency and municipal clients. Provide clear direction, motivation, mentorship, and leadership while representing Fisher in professional and community settings. Requirements What We’re Looking For B.S. in Civil Engineering. 10+ years in civil transportation engineering, including highway design project management. Professional Engineering License (PE). Demonstrated experience managing NYSDOT, LAFA and locally funded highway projects. Familiarity with federally funded programs, and bridge projects from design through delivery. Client-focused leadership, collaboration, integrity, respect, active listening, sound judgment, organization, and ownership. Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in MS Office; MicroStation preferred. Demonstrated success developing trusted, long-term client relationships. Ability to navigate complex public processes, municipal approvals, multidisciplinary teams, and construction-phase questions. Strong mentoring capability with the ability to grow staff and reinforce quality, standards, and delivery discipline. Compensation + Benefits Salary range: $120,000-$155,000; actual compensation varies based on experience, qualifications, and other factors and excludes the value of benefits.
