Description

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior UI (Frontend) Developer to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team focused on building modern, user-centered web and mobile applications.
This is a hybrid full-time position with two remote workdays per week and offers an exciting opportunity to lead the development of responsive, accessible, and high-performance interfaces using cutting-edge technologies and design systems. The ideal candidate will be passionate about user experience, collaborative development, and staying ahead of industry trends.

Responsibilities of the Senior UI (Frontend) Developer Include:

  • Develop dynamic, responsive, and accessible user interfaces for enterprise web and mobile applications using modern frameworks.
  • Partner with the UI Team Lead to conduct usability testing, analyze user feedback, and recommend improvements based on evidence.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to align business objectives with user needs; provide technical assessments and UI/UX recommendations.
  • Manage requirements gathering, wireframing, prototyping, and creation of high-fidelity mockups.
  • Validate design feasibility through rapid prototyping and Proofs of Concept to mitigate project risks.
  • Stay current with emerging UX best practices, accessibility standards (WCAG/ADA), and technologies including AI-driven design tools.

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE SENIOR UI (FRONTEND) DEVELOPER INCLUDE:

Required:

  • Expert knowledge of user-centered design principles, accessibility standards (WCAG/ARIA), and usability testing.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, or Balsamiq.
  • Strong experience with HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox, Grid), LESS/SASS, JavaScript (ES6+), JSON, and modern frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Familiarity with UI frameworks such as Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS, or Material UI.
  • Experience designing for Single-Page Applications (SPAs) and Progressive Web Apps (PWAs).
  • Proven ability to optimize interfaces for performance and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Comfortable working in Git-based workflows and Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred:

  • Experience with design tokens and component-driven development (e.g., Storybook, Bit).
  • Exposure to AI-assisted design tools (e.g., Figma AI, Uizard, Galileo AI).
  • Familiarity with Visual Studio and/or Visual Studio Code.
  • Knowledge of .NET, .NET Core, or Node.js for backend integration.
  • Experience with MVC design patterns.
