SUMMARY

We are looking for a consultant to support our client who is known to be a leading provider of integrated shipping and logistics solutions. Our client has a long history of serving diverse industries, including automotive, military, and commercial clients. They offer a range of services including ocean transportation, port services, and global logistics solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance testing.
  • Proven experience in UI test automation using Playwright.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and principles.
  • Experience with manual testing techniques, including functional, regression, and usability testing.
  • Proficiency in writing clear and concise test cases and documentation.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with shipping or logistics software and/or knowledge of the maritime industry is highly desirable.
  • Experience with other test automation frameworks is a plus (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
  • Experience with performance testing or security testing is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking two highly motivated and experienced Senior QA Testers to join our team as consultants. These roles will focus on UI test automation using Playwright, with a strong understanding of manual testing principles. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications supporting our crucial shipping and logistics operations. This is a 6-month engagement (with high potential for extension) and is fully remote within the United States.
Preference will be given to candidates available to work within the Pacific Time shift.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright for UI testing.
  • Execute automated test suites and analyze results.
  • Collaborate with developers and other QA team members to identify and resolve defects.
  • Perform manual testing as needed, including functional, regression, and usability testing.
  • Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices.
  • Proactively identify and report potential issues and risks.
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure timely and effective bug fixes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools and techniques.
