Purpose of the Role Lead the strategy, growth & financial results for the financial lines portfolio in Singapore, drive some of the facility initiatives in the team. Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities * Responsible for underwriting of insurance products and growing the portfolio of the Financial Lines business including but not limited to Directors and Officers Liability, Professional Indemnity, Medical Malpractice, Crime, Cyber, Financial Institutions Insurance for SMD clients * Maintain profitable renewal accounts as well as assist in the achievement of financial plans and business strategies to ensure profitable growth for Financial Lines * Drive new business through active prospecting, broker engagement, cross-selling, and other strategic initiatives * Ensure that systems are updated with the correct data, maintain rates adequacy, rates validation and uphold our Underwriting philosophy * Be a mentor to the Underwriters, Assistant Underwriters and Underwriting Assistants across Financial Lines as a product as well as the multi-line SMD team along the way * Perform ad hoc projects and other related duties as assigned
