Senior Underwriter / Senior Executive – NB UW * Assess and underwrite life and health insurance applications (new business and policy servicing) and decide if the risk can be accepted * Explain underwriting decisions and requirements to the sales channels * Provide service support and liaison for the sales channels * Assist the sales channels on their queries related to underwriting requirements and underwriting decision * Liaise with reinsurers on complex cases or refer cases to reinsurer if sum at risk exceeds treaty limits * Check and sign off underwriting requirement letters and special terms letters prior to release * To be involved in adhoc duties or projects related to underwriting Requirements: * At least a diploma or degree * A degree in Insurance or Biomedical Science or Life Science would be an added advantage * At least 5 years of experience in life and health underwriting * Experience in Singapore life insurance market will be preferred * Good written and verbal communication skills * Team player with good interpersonal skills * Committed, take ownership and results-driven
