About the role As a Senior UPS Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of uninterruptible power systems that support mission-critical operations. This position involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting UPS systems and associated power equipment to guarantee continuous uptime for data centers and other high-demand environments. You will lead complex diagnostics, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and oversee system upgrades while adhering to strict safety and compliance standards. In addition, you will mentor junior technicians, coordinate with engineering teams, and provide expert guidance on best practices for power continuity and efficiency. This role requires a hands-on professional with deep technical knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in fast-paced, high-stakes settings. Performing preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure continuous uptime. Diagnosing and troubleshooting complex electrical and power system issues. Conducting load testing, battery inspections, and system performance evaluations. Coordinating and overseeing system upgrades and replacements. Ensuring compliance with safety standards and company protocols during all work. Documenting service activities, maintenance records, and technical reports accurately. Responding promptly to emergency service calls and critical power events. Collaborating with engineering teams and project managers on technical solutions. Mentoring junior technicians and providing technical guidance as needed. Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on UPS start-up experience (Delta, Toshiba, Eaton, Vertiv, etc.) Commissioning levels 1–5 (IST) experience in live data-center environments Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude Ability to troubleshoot, energize, and support UPS and STS systems Comfortable working in high-pressure, mission-critical spaces Excellent communication and documentation skills #LI-ATC
