Job Description We are seeking an experienced and creative Senior Urban Designer to lead the planning, design, and delivery of high-quality urban environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping sustainable, inclusive, and commercially viable developments, working across multidisciplinary teams on complex urban projects. Responsibilities: Lead urban design projects from concept through to detailed design and implementation Develop innovative masterplans, public realm strategies, and urban frameworks Ensure design excellence aligned with sustainability, livability, and client objectives Provide design direction and mentorship to junior designers and wider project teams Translate strategic visions into practical, deliverable urban design proposals Contribute to feasibility studies, site analysis, and development strategies Prepare design guidelines, codes, and planning documentation Act as a key point of contact for clients, consultants, and government authorities Present design concepts and proposals to stakeholders and leadership teams Support business development activities, including proposals and pitches Work closely with architects, planners, engineers, landscape architects, and other disciplines Coordinate with internal teams to ensure consistency and quality across projects Contribute to integrated design solutions across mixed-use developments Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Design, Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related field Typically 8+ years of relevant experience in urban design or masterplanning Proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex urban projects Strong portfolio demonstrating concept design, masterplanning, and built work Experience working in international or multidisciplinary environments is preferred Additional Information At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
