SUMMARY:

As an Senior User Experience Researcher, you will work closely with other members of the CSI (Consumer & Shopper Insights Team) and Design team. You will be a strategic business partner who works cross-functionally across the organization, co-creating innovative products, brands and services.You will be responsible for leading all User Experience related activities for our Outdoor & Recreation brands.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Minimum, Master of Science in Human Factors Engineering, Cognitive Psychology, Ergonomics/Anthropometrics, Information/Human Computer Interaction, User Experience Design, or related field.
  • Work Experience: Five+ years of relevant experience working as a user experience design and/or usability professional in a corporate or consulting environment.
  • Communication: Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; ability to visualize and present information in a meaningful way to process partners.
  • Human Factors & Ergonomics: Ability to apply ergonomic and anthropometric data to drive requirements and improvements in products.
  • Research, Analysis, & Translation: Experience in a broad range of research methodologies related to user experience design and ability to translate data into insights leading to measurable product improvements within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Usability Testing: Ability to conduct an entire usability study in-person or remotely: moderate, take notes, plan and design the research activities.
  • UI Prototyping: Ability to create a wide range of prototypes from low (paper) to high (digital and interactive).
  • Behavior: Ability to work effectively across cross-functional work teams and independently toward project goals and timelines with little direction.
  • Motivation: Self-motivated and flexible. From cooking to camping to candles – be willing to learn new things in a variety of domains.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to drive multiple programs simultaneously.
  • Travel: Ability to occasionally travel and work internationally.

Responsibilities
  • Lead user-centered design activities throughout the product development process.
  • Act as a primary interface with process partners to advocate for user-centered design principles and develop world class user experience solutions.
  • Interpret and translate product requirements into meaningful user experiences.
  • Participate in all phases of the user research process, including user recruitment, study design, moderating, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Utilize various qualitative and quantitative research methods, such as usability testing, surveys, interviews, and competitive analysis, to gain deep insights into user needs and behaviors.
  • Effectively collect key objective/behavoral and subjective measures via user research and directly translate data into actionable recommendations for product design.
  • Analyze research data, identify patterns, and generate actionable insights that drive actionable insights and informed design decisions.
  • Communicate research findings to stakeholders clearly and succinctly through reports, presentations, and workshops.
  • Conduct ergonomic assessment and heuristic evaluations.
  • Establish UX goals and guidelines based on primary and secondary research.
  • Stay current with the latest research methodologies, tools, and industry trends.
