Responsibilities
  • Drive design initiatives from discovery to delivery, coordinating designers, researchers, engineers, and stakeholders to create elegant, user-centered experiences
  • Translate unclear business challenges and overarching product vision into actionable design deliverables, such as journey maps, system diagrams, and interactive prototypes
  • Synthesize insights from user research and analytics to inform design decisions and clearly explain the reasoning behind them
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance user experience and provide measurable business value across the product suite
  • Design, architect, and govern the enterprise design system and component library, creating scalable UI patterns, clear documentation, and contribution models that promote design consistency and accelerate development
  • Promote the adoption of design system standards across product teams by collaborating with engineering to enhance the enterprise design language and component library, ensuring that Dycom delivers a consistent UI at scale
  • Serve as the primary bridge between design and engineering, ensuring design fidelity and integrity in implementation, providing technical guidance, and resolving complex blockers
  • Champion user-centric design principles and accessibility standards, influencing product strategy and ensuring teams adhere to best practices
  • Mentor and elevate the team by leading design critiques, facilitating workshops, and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, shared ownership, and high-quality design craft
