Job Purpose The creative design solutions designer contributes to creative design sketches, product research, presentations, and supports 3D design direction. Also supports the team to ensure creative work across multiple projects meet design goals, business needs, and company strategies. This role is a creative contributor in the design process, providing engaging 2D and 3D ideas and design proposals to support project development. May also assist as a Research theme project leader. Can work independently or as part of a collaborative design team to help create and develop a wide range of automotive product concepts. Other responsibilities will include styling sketches (2D/3D), consumer research, original design development using 3D data, CG animation presentations, and early-stage evaluations. The designer presents and supports original design ideas and helps guide the direction based on project and business needs. Key Accountabilities Support the project(s) scope and deliverables for research theme model and Full Model Change and can guarantee proposed output based on Creative Lead, Global Design Director direction and Executive evaluations and project milestones. Provide styling direction within the project scope to ensure high quality appearance and design maturation of approved strategies and creative themes. Present all project materials in a professional manner at all needed events and evaluations so that the audience can clearly understand the proposals. Support project documents and support 2D/3D and CG animation material for evaluations and other team related presentations to the Creative Leads, Global Creative Directors to ensure a high-quality presentation. Provide creative solutions and problem-solving skills supported by studio TE to help address feasibility challenges. Provide feedback to HDMA and project teams to realize the approved design theme. Communicate with all PICs, team members and customers (Internal and external) frequently to promote high level of project correlation of current and upcoming tasks. Workstyle This is a 100% onsite job, based at the AHM, Torrance, CA location Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Minimum Educational Qualifications: A Bachelor s degree in industrial / transportation / product design or equivalent relevant work experience Minimum Experience: 3 or more years of relevant industrial experience Other Job-Specific Skills: Good communication, presentation, creative & technical skills Strong knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, 2D/3D sketches / Rendering/ MS PowerPoint, Alias, Blender 3D, CGI animation programs, and AI Understanding of automotive design principals Should be highly motivated What differentiates Honda and make us an employer of choice?
