Avanciers is a hiring Senior UX QA Engineer in Calgary, AB. For one of our Fortune 500 clients. This is a Contract role with the client.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior UX QA Engineer, you’ll be a key player in ensuring our software is high-quality, reliable, and user-friendly. You will work closely with our development and product teams in an Agile environment, providing critical insights and hands-on testing to deliver a top-tier product.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Plan and Test: You will estimate the effort needed for testing, and then create and execute detailed test plans to ensure new features meet our high standards.
• Find and Fix Issues: You’ll be responsible for finding software bugs and usability problems early in the development cycle, validating the fixes, and managing our manual regression testing.
• Drive Automation: Work with automation engineers to prioritize and expand automated test coverage to improve efficiency and stability.
• Manage Data: Create synthetic data and organize client project data within our OpenWorks/Oracle database to support testing.
• Evaluate Performance: Design and run tests that measure the software’s performance across different hardware setups.
• Report and Improve: Track and report on product stability using test results and defect metrics. You’ll also proactively identify and escalate potential project risks to keep us on track.
