Responsibilities

SCOPE OF THE ROLE

We are looking for a full-time, BMW M-trained technician with a strong motorsport background to join our growing team. You must have at least 5 years’ experience working with BMW vehicles and a clear understanding of performance enhancements, including suspension geometry setup and installation of aftermarket parts.
This role requires someone with hands-on motorsport experience, including setting up track-focused vehicles and supporting cars during track days and events across the UK and internationally.
You will take charge of workshop operations, carry out customer installations, and serve as a visible face of R44 through content creation and social media, helping DIY customers install products at home.
You’ll also be responsible for the preparation and maintenance of our development fleet, which includes a Porsche GT3RS, multiple 1000+BHP M3s, and heavily modified track-focused builds.
You must be calm under pressure, organised, and have strong time management skills. A “can-do” attitude is essential — we are a close-knit team that relies on each other to perform at a high level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead workshop operations and plan fittings, coordinating with the parts department to ensure correct parts are ready and adequate time is booked.
  • Meet weekly KPIs for workshop installations in line with department budgets.
  • Carry out product installations to R44’s high standards, within quoted timeframes.
  • Manage and prepare the R44 development fleet for various events, including international track days.
  • Attend and support track events, providing setup and mechanical assistance.
  • Research and implement new workshop technologies.
  • Appear on camera to produce installation content for social media and YouTube.
  • Collaborate with the product development team, giving input on install methods and product improvements.
  • Support team training and uphold workshop health & safety standards.
  • Manage workshop tools, consumables, and maintain exceptional housekeeping.
  • Work Monday–Friday 9am–5pm, with availability for 2 Saturdays per month.
